Discovery
This stage is understanding what you require from a website, finding out the purpose, the goals, objectives and the competition.
Design
We can then start planning on building the right website for the right crowd. We will discuss the design, colours, typography, content and functionality.
Build
I will set up and install WordPress and start building the website, along with adding any functionality that you require, such as a contact form or online shop.
Launch
Once the website has been optimised, and tested and you're happy everything is working correctly, we launch your website!
Maintain
Websites should be kept current, relevant and secure with any errors or bugs fixed. You will have full control of your website, and have the choice to maintain it yourself or have me manage it for you.

How long do web design packages take to build?
Timescales depend on the size of the project, the time it takes to provide content, information, and feedback, and any other ongoing work I may have. Most websites take around 4 weeks, but eCommerce website packages can take longer depending on how man prodcuts and varations of products required.
Do you only build WordPress Websites?
Yes, WordPress is the best content management system that powers nearly half of the world wide web. It’s flexible, extremely customisable, with added functionality, and it’s easy to use interface allows clients to self-manage their websites.
What technologies do you use to build websites?
I use WordPress and a premium WordPress theme called Divi, which is built using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP. Divi is a theme page builder that allows you to easily build additional pages with unlimited layouts through a drag-and-drop user interface without the need for technical coding knowledge.
Do you offer training on managing my website?
I provide documentation for both WordPress and Divi as well as share extra online resources, where you can find anything you need to know. If requested, I can also provide video tutorials on the most common tasks that you may need or one-to-one training sessions, (£30 per hour) to walk you through managing your website.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Yes! Having a mobile-friendly website is important for user experience and search engines. I work hard to ensure your website is responsive to modern devices and browsers.
Do I have to be local to work with you?
No, I will work with clients anywhere in the UK, or globally and can communicate online.
Will my website be search engine friendly?
Yes, I don’t believe it’s worth having a website if it’s not optimised for search engines and cannot be found online. All my websites include key SEO best practices, and procedures, to help your small business succeed online.
Who provides the content for the website?
You do, you know your business, it’s customers and what you need from your website. You will need to provide all the written content for the website, as well as images, such as logos, photos, infographics and anything you may need. However, if you are not sure how to write for the web or what content to include, I do provide a guide, full of advice, tips on how to write engaging content and other helpful information.
Do you provide a mock-up of the website design?
Before starting your website project, I like to know how you want your website to look and feel, preferably with examples of websites you like. I will then build the homepage and one other page, based on your design brief, using the website page builder. The page builder allows web pages to be built and changed more easily and is often a better option than spending time creating a website mock-up.
Will you maintain our website for us?
I can help maintain your website, or you can make minor, edits, updates, and additions yourself. I provide a WordPress maintenance service, or you can contact me as you require updates to your website, and I will provide an hourly quote based on your requests. The choice is up to you, but whatever you decide, it’s important to keep WordPress and Divi updated for performance and security.
Will I be able to update the site myself when it’s finished?
Yes, you will have full control of the website and can learn how to manage the content yourself. My websites are built using WordPress and a page builder, making it easier to edit text, add or remove images and control products and pricing etc. However, I do recommend a professional (developer) to complete more complex changes and maintenance such as design or structure changes, and complex functionality requirements. I do offer a WordPress maintenance service, or you can contact me as you require updates to your website.
Do you provide website hosting and domain?
No, I believe it’s important for clients to be responsible for their website hosting and domain. This will ensure that you will continue to have full access and total control of your website. However, I can recommend great hosting companies and packages. that provide 24/7 support, super-fast speed and with the latest server technology, for a competitive price.
